The Pierce-Arrow armoured AA lorry was a British self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle used by the Royal Marine Artillery during the First World War. It was constructed on an imported American Pierce-Arrow 5-ton truck chassis fitted with bolted armoured plates of either 5 mm or 8 mm thickness. The design featured an enclosed driver’s compartment and an open-topped rear fighting area. Its primary weapon was a QF 2-pounder “pom-pom” anti-aircraft gun, which was supplemented by at least one Vickers machine gun. Weighing an estimated 6 long tons, the vehicle was powered by a 30-horsepower, 4-cylinder petrol engine with a 4×2 rear-wheel drive layout and leaf spring suspension.
