Flakpanzer I – 675 Pieces

The Flakpanzer I was a rare German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun used during World War II. It was developed during the Battle of France when it became clear that motorized anti-aircraft units lacked sufficient armor. The German military decided to combine light anti-aircraft guns with available tank chassis, selecting the Panzer I for the conversion.

Approximately 24 of these vehicles were built by the company Stoewer. The conversion process required extensive modification to the small Panzer I chassis, including removing parts of the superstructure and engine cover to create a flat platform for the crew and the Flak 38 gun. This resulted in an overloaded vehicle with poor performance.
